Opener: In your sketchbook complete the opener described on the board. Try using crosshatch and stipple dots to add value and give your drawings form.

Lesson Activities:

1. Make sure your images have been uploaded to a place where we can view them on the computer like Flickr, Google Drive or your Email.

2. Get a computer and log on, go to the place to view your photos and download them into to the computer into a folder named "Portraits".

3. Partner with your neighbor and share the photos with each other. Give feedback to each other. Try a "sandwich of feedback" which looks like first, warm feedback or compliment, then a suggestion of improvement, then third, another compliment.

4. Mrs. Bowen will demo in Photoshop the things we've gone over already about using adjustment layers and editing tools.

5. Click here to view the Project Instructions. Click here to view the Project Grading Rubric. This should be completed in class on Wednesday.

6. Show your photos to Mrs. Bowen so she can grade them and give your one-on-one feedback.

Closer: Review of what we learned today and what we will do tomorrow.

Learning Objectives: Students will be able to critical evaluate their own photographs and apply new Photoshop editing skills.

Essential Question: Who is in my community that matters to me?
