"Food For Thought" is good enough to eat!

My 10th grade students created some really exceptional work for their first obervational drawing project. We visited the "Food For Thought" exhibit at the Cannon Art Gallery in Carlsbad and studied the work by local artists and how they presented food in meaningful and stunning ways. Then the students created their own still life arrangements, photographed them and then using a grid enlargement technique they created their drawings. See some of the amazing results pictured below. We are hoping to do a public exhibition of these at the library.
