Here's a photo I took of a former student. There is a big window behind me which is giving soft even front lighting.

Opener: In your sketchbook complete the opener described on the board. Try using crosshatch and stipple dots to add value and give your drawings form.

Lesson Activities:

Check Edmodo for the assignment sheets.

Make a folder on your Google Drive for 10th Grade, then make a folder for this class. Save all your work to this folder. Name the folder with your name and share it with kbowen@hightechhigh.org

Compose your writing into paragraph format like it was a special interest piece in a newspaper or a magazine. Partner up and read each other's writing, give feedback for grammar, tone and spelling errors. Add your image to the writing. Print it to the 12th grade BW printer and turn it in to Mrs. Bowen. If you don't finish this during class today you will have to finish it for homework.

Closer: Review of what we learned today and what we will do tomorrow.

Learning Objectives: Students will be able to critical evaluate their own photographs and apply new Photoshop editing skills.

Essential Question: Who is in my community that matters to me?
